Oh goodie! I’ve been missing your amazing bread. So glad you’re full of success. Will be at Bi-Rite tonight for some black pepper parm!
any chance of a gluten free option?
Check this out for gluten-free options: http://www.breadsrsly.com/ . I learned about Josey through them…
Your bread is so good that I cannot help myself!
I am officially a GLUTEN addict! –this is all your fault:
WATCH YOUR BACK, BAKER!!
mwah, ha, ha,ha,ha…
Is that intentional. No address? As in, if you have to ask how much it is, you can’t afford it? Or just an oversight?
hmm, not sure what the connection is between our address and how much the bread costs, but anyhoo here’s both bits of info, just in case: we’re at 736 Divisadero, and the bread is $6 per loaf. hope that clears things up for ya buddy.
Disclaimer: Josey just very generously emailed me back to the post above with the address and the price of the bread. Amazingly generous. If I could, I would delete the above comment as what I wrote is unclear. What I mean to say it, POST THE ADDRESS SO I KNOW WHERE TO BUY ALL THE BREAD THAT WILL FIT INTO MY BACKPACK ON MY BIKE HOME!!!!!
You make me laugh! I can tell you are very funny guy and I like how you communicate with the people through this blog!
Can’t wait to try your bread! I’m from Germany originally and been missing real good bread, so will come around tomorrow to try it out, yay! 🙂 Feel better!!!!!!
do you ship bread and pasteries and other goodies you make? I live in Seattle..
Couldn’t you see your way clear to distributing your bread farther south–like SLO county? Especially the dark rye.
I must come! After trying local markets, and shelf bread, I finally despaired, and began searching for Best Sourdough in San Francisco, and guess who came up. I was on the verge of ordering from Poulaine, in Paris. I just moved to Twin Peaks. I am going to stop by on the way home from church, this Sunday, which is on Van Ness and Sacramento. Practically on the way, so I think there may be a major spike in my bread bill. Fortunately, there are a lot of steps by my apartment. Yeay!
OK…I went to The Mill, today, on the way home from my new flat. I went home to my old place, and first thing, sliced off the end of the loaf of Wonder Bread, and toasted it. I put butter on it, and tried it. I was a little apprehensive, because it looked like the loaves I used to make at home. I thought, “is this really sourdough?”
My brain melted. It is sooooooooo good. Yes, very definitely sourdough. My original quest was to find the best sourdough bread in San Francisco. I will evaluate this the way Liszt did, when he talked about Camille Saint-Saens: “He may not be the greatest composer in the world, but I know of none better.” Same with this. There is no reason to keep looking. I’ll very definitely be back. Repeatedly. Boy, am I glad I have to climb lots of stairs at my new flat.
this is ridiculously sweet of you, thank you Amanda. ❤
